Innovative Experience at Our University: AI Applications in Psychology

Through the “AI Applications in Psychology” event hosted at our university, our students experienced next-generation therapy methods firsthand using VR (Virtual Reality) headsets. As the first Psychology Department to integrate this field into its curriculum, we continue to prepare our students for the requirements of an increasingly digitalized world.

The event was held with the support of VR COACH and honored by the participation of our Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Firdevs Karahan, along with Prof. Dr. Hamit Coşkun and the Head of the Psychology Department, Asst. Prof. Ali Ruhan Çelik.

During the session, students navigated virtual scenarios involving phobias, fears, and panic attacks, learning how to leverage technology as a supportive catalyst in psychotherapy.
