DERMOCOS Dermocosmetics Congress: By the Pharmacists of the Future

As Kocaeli Health and Technology University, we had a fulfilling day with the DERMOCOS Dermocosmetic Student Congress, organized by the Pharmacy Club on May 9, 2026, in our university’s conference hall. Our event began with inspiring opening speeches by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas; our Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Hasan Yusufoğlu; our Congress Advisor, Dr. Seval Çınar; our Head of Student Affairs, Lecturer Furkan Albayrak; and our Pharmacy Club President, Ceyda Nur Ağın. This organization, brought to life with the valuable support and guidance of our Congress Advisor, Dr. Seval Çınar; our Dean, Prof. Dr. Gönül Şahin; and our Vice Dean, Dr. Münteha Özsoy, shed light on the future of dermocosmetics with esteemed figures from the sector. We delved deeply into various aspects of the congress, including: ways to access accurate information in the social media age with Çağla Yeşil; entrepreneurship and brand strategies with Pharmacist Deniz Mortazazadeh; the importance of the skin barrier and repair processes with Mısra Berna Özdemir; hidden dangers in cosmetics with Pharmacist Tuba Çalık; and the role of pharmacists in dermocosmetics with Pharmacist Ruşa Bulut Sarışın. We sincerely thank all the students and instructors who contributed to this successful congress.
