Psychological Counseling And Guidance Unit;
- This unit aims to assist the individual, social and academic development of Kocaeli Health and Technology University students and staff, to facilitate their adaptation to university and dormitory life, and to provide them with the necessary skills in these matters.
- Students and staff of our university can receive support from our unit regarding personal and relational problems, anxiety, depression, family and social relations, concerns about academic and work performance, difficulties, adaptation and adaptation problems and similar issues. For this purpose, our unit conducts individual interviews and helps to develop individual, social and academic skills, and to overcome the problems encountered or to be encountered more easily. Our unit supports a better understanding of the problems experienced and helps the person to know themselves.
- Meetings last about 45 minutes. The time, frequency and duration of the interviews are decided together with the client.
- The principle of confidentiality is essential in meetings. The information and shares provided during the sessions are never shared with another person and/or institution without the consent of the clients. However, in cases where the clients harm themselves or someone else is harmed, this information may be shared with third parties, within the client’s knowledge, in order to ensure the safety of the persons.
