TÜBİTAK-Supported Embedded System Applications and Security Training

The “Embedded System Applications and Security” training, coordinated by our Head of Software Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kara, and supported under the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Program for Supporting Scientific Educational Activities, was successfully completed at Kocaeli Health and Technology University on December 17–19, 2025.
The hands-on training addressed the architecture, communication protocols, sensors, actuators, security mechanisms, and testing of embedded systems, which continue to expand in scope and application every day. Selected from applicants across various universities and public institutions, 20 participants attended the sessions. Delivered by academic faculty and industry experts with a holistic perspective, the curriculum emphasized a hands-on “learning by doing” approach alongside theoretical foundations.
We would like to thank the trainers involved in the project: Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kara, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fulya Akdeniz, Dr. Sebahattin Babur, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat İskefiyeli, Prof. Dr. Melih İnal, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sevri, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ercan Ölçer, as well as Res. Asst. Candide Öztürk, Asst. Prof. Dr. İsmet Karaduman, and M.Sc. Eng.
