42nd Engineering Deans Council (MDK) Meeting

The 42nd Engineering Deans Council (MDK) Meeting, hosted by Konya Technical University on November 22-23, 2024, was attended by Istanbul Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, Yeditepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman, and the deans and vice deans of engineering faculties from 59 different universities.

The meeting, attended by our university’s Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nevcihan Duru, addressed the current challenges facing engineering education in our country and discussed possible solutions.

The primary objective of the meeting was to exchange ideas on the necessary initiatives to ensure more effective and efficient engineering education, develop strategies for this purpose, and ensure that steps are taken to implement these recommendations.

The Council meeting serves as an important platform for improving the quality of engineering education.
