Technical Visit to Gölcük Necati Çelik State Hospital by Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Students

Students from the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation participated in a technical visit to the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit at Gölcük Necati Çelik State Hospital in May 2024.

This visit was organized as part of an Electrotherapy course and aimed to demonstrate ESWT (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy) in a clinical setting.

During the technical visit, students had the opportunity to observe the clinical use of physiotherapy equipment firsthand. They also met with the hospital’s Chief Physician, Prof. Dr. Aziz Çardak, and Physiotherapist Nirgül Kumek, Head of the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit. This meeting strengthened university-hospital collaboration.

Such practical educational visits allow our students to integrate their theoretical knowledge with clinical experience and increase their professional awareness.
