The Faculty of Health Sciences at Kocaeli University of Health and Technology (KOSTÜ) was established to meet the increasing demand for qualified health professionals. The faculty provides education based on contemporary, evidence-based, and student-centered approaches.
Within the faculty:
- the Department of Nursing commenced education in 2020,
- the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2021, and
- the Department of Midwifery in 2025.
In addition to undergraduate education, the faculty offers Master’s and Integrated Master’s Programs in Nursing and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, enabling students to pursue advanced academic and professional qualifications within the same academic structure.
The Faculty of Health Sciences aims to educate competent, ethical, and innovative professionals who combine scientific knowledge with practical skills and a strong sense of social responsibility. Education integrates theoretical training, clinical practice, and research experience to prepare graduates for both national and international healthcare environments.
Our main fields of study and practice include:
- Nursing care and clinical practice across diverse healthcare settings,
- Physiotherapy and rehabilitation in musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions,
- Maternal and child health, reproductive health, and community-based midwifery,
- Health promotion, preventive medicine, and community health,
- Interdisciplinary studies integrating technology, innovation, and digital health in healthcare delivery.
Through its research activities, collaborations, and community engagement, the Faculty of Health Sciences contributes to the advancement of health education and the improvement of public well-being at local, national, and international levels.
