• Department Description : Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is a scientific discipline that focuses on improving health, enhancing quality of life, and promoting preventive healthcare practices in the presence of diseases that cause movement and functional limitations. Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals who use assessment and evaluation methods to design, implement, and report physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs aimed at improving individuals’ quality of life and functional abilities. They also plan preventive health programs to maintain well-being. Graduates of the department work in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, sports teams, or private practices to improve individuals’ health status, enhance quality of life, and increase movement capacity. Physiotherapists’ fields of work include neonatal care, obstetric and urogynecological conditions, neurological disorders, orthopedic problems, hand injuries and surgery, vestibular disorders, prosthetics and orthotics laboratories, intensive care, sports injuries, rheumatologic diseases, spinal disorders, and pediatric rehabilitation. Our department aims to educate physiotherapists who are competent in evidence-based and up-to-date practices, can work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, respect ethical and human values, possess strong communication skills, and are capable of integrating information technologies into rehabilitation programs.
  • Program Objective : The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program aims to train physiotherapists with clinical problem-solving skills who can perform evidence-based practices in disease prevention, treatment, health promotion, and quality of life improvement. The program seeks to graduate professionals who are proficient in information technologies, committed to ethical principles, respect human rights, and possess lifelong learning, teaching, and communication skills.

  • Career Opportunities : The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation offers a 4-year undergraduate program consisting of 240 ECTS credits. Students who successfully complete all theoretical and practical courses and meet the academic requirements at the end of the 8th semester graduate with the professional title of Physiotherapist. Graduates of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department can work in a wide range of healthcare and wellness settings, including: Public or private hospitals providing inpatient and outpatient care, Special education and rehabilitation centers, Prosthetics and orthotics laboratories, Industrial organizations, Sports clubs and national teams, Elderly care and rehabilitation centers, Thermal health centers (spa facilities), and Home healthcare service providers.
